Wings and Waves Waterpark

COVID-19 POLICY & PROCEDURES

UPDATE ON WINGS AND WAVES WATERPARK’S 2020 SEASON

Wings and Waves Waterpark will open for the 2020 season. We look forward to seeing you soon! Our highest priority is the health and safety of all our team members and guests. Due to COVID-19, there will be several changes in the way we operate this summer.

We will strongly emphasize social distancing throughout the waterpark. Dining tables, loungers and beach chairs will be properly spaced out around all our attractions, and cabanas are now spread out beyond the minimum CD requirements of 6’. While family groups may have fun together, we do ask that all unrelated guests stay at least six feet away from each other as everyone enjoys the waterpark. Cloth Face Coverings are encouraged when in public areas but are not to be worn in the water. Please remember face coverings are most essential in times when physical distancing is difficult. Queue lines for slides will be significantly spaced out in order to meet our social distancing standards. The majority of the queue line for each slide will be on the ground, where guests will stay six feet apart before climbing the stairs to the attraction.

In accordance with Oregon State regulations, our waterpark will only operate at 250 guests in attendance per session until the State provides further guidance. If we reach maximum capacity, we will allow new guests to enter as others leave. If guests leave the park and return later in the day, they may be required to wait outside the park for a time in order to meet these capacity limits. Pre-purchasing a day ticket through our website guarantees the ticket holder access into the park on the day for which their ticket was purchased. Cabanas are available to purchase on our website as well; a group which has purchased a cabana will have their place in the park reserved for the day on which they purchased that cabana.

We are strongly encouraging all guests to conduct all transactions online this year in order to reduce wait time in lines and to help us maintain social distancing. Here are a few steps you can take to help us accomplish this:

  1. All season pass sales have been suspended at this time to assure all guests are able to enter the park when reserved. Season Pass guests will be required to reserve their spots in advance on the website.

  2. Purchase Day Tickets online prior to your arrival to allow you to reserve your day. Buying in advance will allow you to enter the waterpark quicker and the earlier you buy your tickets, the more money you can save.

  3. Purchase and reserve your private cabana online before you visit.  This will ensure availability as our cabanas are very popular and sell out quickly.

WHILE INSIDE OR BEFORE WINGS AND WAVES WATERPARK

Once inside (or before) Wings and Waves Waterpark, use our new food and beverage, retail and more website that allows you to place an order at any of our dining locations. Online ordering will allow you to avoid lines and simply pick up your prepared food and beverage order when ready.

As we strive to make Wings and Waves Waterpark a safe and healthy experience, we are following the guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control to protect all while visiting.  Some of our sanitation procedures include:

• Ensuring that all rides are clean and hygienic.
• Communicating and promoting the need to maintain social distancing guidelines.
• Promoting regular and thorough hand washing by Team Members, Contractors, and Guests.
• Installing sanitizer dispensers in prominent places around the waterpark to facilitate hand cleanliness.
• Promoting good respiratory hygiene in the workplace.
• Encouraging Guests and Team Members to stay home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, shown symptoms of the disease, or have themselves come into contact with an individual at risk or suspected of having contracted COVID-19.
• Educating all Team Members about disease prevention, preparedness and response.

FAQs FOR TEMPORARY PARK PROCEDURES

Will capacity be limited at the park?

To ensure proper social distancing, and because of state regulations, we have temporarily decreased the capacity allowed inside the facility. We will increase the capacity within the waterpark as updated state or federal regulations allow.

How do I purchase tickets?

All admission tickets can be purchased online at wingsandwaveswaterpark.com. Tickets at the door are not guaranteed and depend on availability. If tickets are sold out for a particular day, a waitlist will be started.

If I am an Annual Pass Holder or Season Pass Holder, what do I need to do before coming to the park?

Due to the park’s lowered capacity, Annual and Season Pass Holders must reserve their admission at https://app.waitwhile.com/welcome/wingsandwaveswaterpark or they can contact us at info@wingsandwaveswaterpark.com. This will secure your spot in the waterpark while maintaining social distancing standards. While the capacity is lowered, your admission into the waterpark is not guaranteed without reserving your spot. With this mandated reduced capacity, wait times for attractions are significantly decreased resulting in a more enjoyable experience.

Will I be screened before entering the waterpark?

Yes, guest screenings will be completed at the door, and unfortunately, we will have to turn anyone away who answers yes to any of the following:

  • Are you feeling ill or showing any symptoms of COVID-19?

  • Have you been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days?

If anyone in your party is feeling ill, please be responsible stay home and choose to visit the park at a later date.  Please Note: Any previously purchased tickets can be switched to a different day, based on availability at the time of booking.

Are cashless payments available?

Yes, we are encouraging all guests to use our new website to purchase all products online. Plus, we are encouraging electronic payments during this time.

How should I prepare before visiting the park?

Guests should bring their confirmation email into the park with them, either printed or on a mobile device.

Guests should be aware of the new guidelines in place to maintain social distancing and consider any interactions with other guests while in the park.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE) to use during their visit. We do recommend wearing masks, unless you are in the water or enjoying any of our water attractions.

Will all attractions and features be open for visitors?

At this time, all attractions will be open and available to enjoy, depending on capacity restrictions for the area.

What kinds of social distancing guidelines are you implementing at the park and how are you enforcing them?

Signs have been installed in all areas of the park to assist with these efforts. We have also modified our floor layout with physical and visual guides to ensure that in both the standing and seating areas, individuals can remain at least 6 feet apart.  This is more spacing in between tables around the park and decreased the number of birthday party guests in the party rooms at one time. In addition, to limit waiting in line at the Galaxy Cafe, orders will be delivered directly to your table.  Please Note: Social distancing is a shared responsibility between our guests and the park. While we will provide guidance, we count on our guests to follow these new protocols to help maintain the safest environment for all guests and our Team Members.

What other precautions are you taking to help prevent the spread of COVID-19?

On top of promoting social distancing with signage and an updated floor layout, we installed additional signage throughout the park to promote personal protective measures like washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and wearing proper PPE when possible. Complimentary supplies are available to support good hygiene, including numerous hand-sanitizing stations installed throughout the park.

What kind of PPE should be worn while at Wings and Waves Waterpark?

We recommend wearing a mask or cloth face-covering and some form of foot covering while walking throughout the park. It is NOT recommended that guests wear a mask while enjoying any of our water attractions. We advise against this, as masks can be difficult to breathe through when they’re wet.
